This privacy policy is issued in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and applicable rules made thereunder, and explains how Rêve Weddings collects, uses, protects, and allows you to control your personal data when you interact with our website (revewed.com), our advertisements, or our team directly.

By submitting an enquiry form, messaging us on WhatsApp, calling us, or otherwise sharing your information with us, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described in this policy.

1. Who We Are

Rêve Weddings is a luxury wedding photography and cinematography studio based in Bengaluru, India ("we," "us," "our"). For the purposes of the DPDP Act, Rêve Weddings is the Data Fiduciary responsible for your personal data collected through revewed.com and our advertisements.

2. Information We Collect

When you submit an enquiry form, message us, or interact with our advertisements, we may collect:

Full name
Phone number
Email address
Wedding city/location
Wedding date (approximate)
Any other information you voluntarily provide (e.g., in a message or call)

We only collect what is needed to respond to your enquiry — we do not ask for or knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as financial information, government ID numbers, or health data through our website or ad forms.

3. Purpose of Collection & Basis of Processing

We collect and process your personal data on the basis of your consent, given when you submit an enquiry form, message us, or otherwise share your details. We use this information solely to:

Respond to your wedding photography enquiry
Share relevant information about our services and packages
Schedule consultations or calls with you
Check and communicate availability for your wedding date

If you choose not to provide this information, we will not be able to respond to your enquiry, check availability, or take your booking forward. If you later withdraw consent (see Section 7), we will stop using your data for these purposes going forward, though this does not affect anything already done with your consent before withdrawal, and does not apply to data we're required to retain by law.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Meta / Facebook Lead Ads

If you submit your information through a Meta (Facebook or Instagram) lead ad, your information is collected via Meta's lead ads platform and shared with us directly. By submitting your details through our ads, you consent to us contacting you regarding your wedding photography enquiry, for the purposes described in Section 3.

Meta may process and store this data on servers located outside India as part of its lead ads infrastructure; this is Meta's processing, governed by Meta's own privacy policy, which we encourage you to review.

5. WhatsApp & Phone Communication

If you contact us via WhatsApp or phone, we retain your contact details and the content of that communication to respond to your enquiry and follow up regarding our services.

6. Cross-Border Data Storage

Some of the tools we use (such as Meta's advertising and messaging infrastructure, and standard cloud-based business tools) may store or process data on servers located outside India. Where this happens, it is only for the purposes described in this policy, and we take reasonable steps to ensure such processing is handled securely.

7. Data Storage, Security & Retention

Your personal information is stored securely and accessed only by the Rêve Weddings team on a need-to-know basis. We take reasonable technical and organisational precautions to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, alteration, or misuse, and will notify you and, where required, the Data Protection Board of India in the event of a personal data breach affecting you.

We retain your information as follows:

Enquiries that do not proceed to a booking: retained for up to 12 months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Confirmed client bookings: retained for the duration of our engagement and for up to 7 years afterward, to meet our accounting, tax, and legal obligations.
You may request earlier deletion at any time by contacting us (Section 9), subject to any legal retention requirements we must still meet.

8. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
Erasure — request deletion of your personal data, subject to our legal retention obligations
Withdraw consent — withdraw your consent for us to contact you or process your data at any time, as easily as you gave it (see Section 9)
Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us about how we've handled your data, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything we did with your data before withdrawal.

9. How to Exercise Your Rights / Withdraw Consent / Raise a Grievance

We aim to respond to all requests within a reasonable time. If you withdraw consent, you may simply reply "STOP" to our WhatsApp or email communication, or inform us by phone — no separate form is required.

If you are not satisfied with how we've resolved your grievance, you have the right to file a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

10. Cookies & Tracking

Our website (revewed.com) uses cookies and the Meta Pixel to understand how visitors interact with our site and to improve our advertising. By using our website, you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with this policy. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect some site functionality.

11. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites and encourage you to read their privacy policies separately.

12. Language
